Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. As a child, she was exposed to a lot of traditional music as well as older Boleros. She also listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other theatrical performances. After singing with her mom, she started more serious singing lessons at the age of 16, under the direction of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. While a student, and as a young professional at the time in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choruses. Following her move from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She performs solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her love and passion in music, art and performing has her involved with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana is also a previous member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to be able to be able to share her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to preserve the traditions.
